In the spring of 2003, friends and I created a "chase-the-ball" toy for my Alaskan Malamute, Skye, which we called a "Skye Spinner," and this website was born.

As so often happens, the site took on a life of its own and has quickly become something more than just about the Skye Spinner toy. It's become the repository for my stockpile of information, recommendations, and links to all things doggy, and especially Malamute-related, as well as a place to advertise the toy and other items like our Howling Malamute t-shirts and sweatshirts.

What's a Skye Spinner will tell you all about the toy, what it is and how it works.

You will find under Items & Prices both the Skye Spinner and Howling Mal shirts. In the near future I plan to add some original Malamute and doggy photo and maybe watercolor note cards, as well as long scarves knitted from Malamute "canine cashmere."

I was originally an ardent fan of the Raw Diet (aka Barf) and I still have a page up explaining the diet to anyone who may be interested, plus interesting links to foods, and healthy biscuits! BUT this is not the way I feed Skye anymore since she got a bacteria from the raw food which sometimes happens. She does much better on cooked food these days!

My Favorite Links went up to share some of the organizations, products, books and other dog-related things I especially like, have had firsthand experience with, and just plain enjoy recommending to others.
